Today I am wearing pants I don't particularly care for, boots that eat my ankles (well, ok, not anymore, but I was), underwear I dislike, and a shirt that makes me look slightly ill, all because I didn't get around to dealing with the paraffin that I dripped on my one pair of clean jeans on Friday.

Sigh.

I hate the fashion industry.

It's gotta be the shoes

I spent a few hours this weekend searching for a new pair of shoes. All the sneakers were far too bling (I hate shiney sneakers), and the boots were far too comfortable (blisters are bad, m'kay?). I was ready to give up and just buy some Birks and a dozen pairs of wool socks.

I've started wearing my great LL Bean boots that I got last year for winter use. It's cool enough that they aren't too hot, but I was hoping to get an interrum boot until then. Maybe I'll get a pair of Doc Martins.
