This is why I think these thoughts out-loud, as it were. WRT the red, I was thinking of doing only a couple of walls in red, but looking at the LR while I'm actually sitting in it, you're right, it would be too much. I could see doing the wall that the closet door is on in red, but nowhere else.

The gold with green is actually Birdkiller's idea. She's even better at decorating than I am, because I have some really odd ideas about what goes with what. Like the GITD star thing, and the dark purple bedroom thing.

My other thought was to do the walls in gold and do that stripey thing that Gretchen did in her LR, and maybe do the cove part of the ceiling in the green. Or would that look too weird?
