Opened this morning by researching my pool cue, which I brought in partially to show Patrick and partially to challenge him to a game over lunch (which should be a complete farce, as I haven't played pool in years. It was my grandfather's cue, which he apparently bought to play with Dad, according to my father. I'm not overly concerned with how much it's worth, but I am curious about it in general.
I wasn't nearly as industrious as some people over the weekend, because sleep was necessary, but Aphasia is now up and running. No printer, because I either need a power cord for the HP inkjet that may or may not work, and a serial cable, or I need to figure out where the Stylewriter II and its associated cords and cables got to. I think it might be hiding in the box Aphasia came in. Also no network, but the AAUI adapter is connected. I just need a WAP and I'm good to go, I think. The monitor just fits on the desk with the hutch in place. And I appear to have the slowest Mac mouse in all of creation, except perhaps the one that Rusty spilled ginger ale into back in CIT.
Saturday I was good and did not go to the Weaver's Guild garage sale. I stayed far away. I dropped stuff off at the thrift store, found another thing for the sibling's present, and washed both the Subaru and Amanda. Sunday was the cotehardie project--the pics still need to be burned onto CD, but that's a minimal issue compared to the taking of them in the first place. We also had a lovely bike ride, which was lovely even though parts of me are still unhappy. I suppose I should be pleased, since I certainly couldn't have made it all the way to the park, around the park, and back on my third ride of the summer last year (because it was the third time I'd been on a bike in at least a decade). I am still horribly out of shape--the ride was maybe 3 miles, and we rested twice--but it's improving.
