Cake is baked. Yay!
Today, making of icing and frosting and decorating of cake. And possibly subjecting the flowers to a hair dryer to dry out the royal icing ones so they don't crumble to dust in between now and the wedding.
Oh, and a trip to Whole Foods to buy trout food, so the fishies don't starve over the weekend.
My nail polish (which I bought to coordinate with the dress I will be wearing tomorrow), although Kristine seems to like it, is pretty darned awful. In more light than what is usually in our living room, it is mostly iridescently pink with a bluish gray undertone. In our living room, it is mostly bluish gray with a slight pink iridescence, and it makes my hands look like I've lost all circulation to them. It is patently Not My Color. So it will come off tonight. Ah, well. If I feel overly motivated I might try the pink sparkly stuff I bought for Chris's wedding, or I'll just go with a clear topcoat and be happy. How excessively girly of me.
Today I am just sleepy. I can sleep Sunday. Maybe.
I need to order a 10-degree honeycomb grid spot. I may just order the set, which is cheaper than buying all the grids individually, and will allow greater flexibility and opportunities for play.
KEH has an 20-35 zoom, a Tokina I think, which might be a really useful thing to get if I think I will have an *ist D by the end of the year. It's something like a 2.8, which doesn't suck, and would give me a 30-52 zoom (the *ist D has a 1.5 multiplier, like most other digital SLRs). Aaaaand it's autofocus, which also doesn't necessarily suck.
