The bit that Mikey left out...

Evening court. Ziggy and Bridei enter in response to the summons (in matching houppelands which were unfortunately a very odd shade of teal/aqua/turquoise). Unbidden, everyone present stands. I think it's probably appropriate to say we leapt to our feet. And we stayed standing, through the Crown putting the ancient and honorable (and horrifically heavy--I'd swear they were cast from lead, they looked it) crowns of the Midrealm on the heads of the victors. Then Guinievre looked at the audience and she realized that we hadn't sat down, and her eyes got big, and she sort-of stage-whispered (it wasn't very loud, but you could hear her in the third row) with a note of awe in her voice "They're still standing." Then Ziggy and Bridei turned around and their eyes got big and they kind of looked poleaxed like TRM Outlands at Quest III when we gave them 400+ scroll blanks for to help with their 10-year scroll backlog. Then they went up and sat in the Heir's thrones and looked shell-shocked and we were still standing and clapping and cheering. And eventually we sat down. And Ziggy and Bridei spent the rest of the evening in various permutations of looking shell-shocked.
Somebody who is not Mikey but was apparently temporarily inhabiting his body because I would swear it was him but he swears it was not says we stayed standing because nobody knew when to sit down, but whoever it was is apparently clueless so we won't listen to him. So whoever you are, nyah.
