Got this in my spam this morning--no other text in the email, thus it's probably sent by way of a virus:
"Large quantities of bacon were trailed in the wake of the ship, to the great satisfaction (I must say) of the sharks."
So I had to look it up. It's a quote from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which I have not read in a very long time, but I'm pretty sure I've read at one time or another. Yes! Angst and technological marvels! Death and boats! Victorian sensibilities and giant squid!
