The last month or so, I've been unable to sleep later than 10, no matter how hard I try, and mostly I want to be awake at 8. Weird. And today my ears are backed up, so I can't turn my head quickly or I get horribly dizzy. DayQuil helped with the congestion just enough so I didn't have vertigo unless I moved my head too fast, but it never does much more than that. Meh.

Anyway. Much stuff accomplished this weekend. Managed to get to the farmer's market, finally, and picked up a current Minnesota Grown booklet. Mostly what they had were peas and potatoes, and lettuce. So I bought peas. And chocolate chip banana bread. And strawberries. Got one garden bed in and filled, but there are tree bits where the other one is going to go so it can't go in yet. Bought a wheelbarrow. Bought a hose thingy, and a new hose. I'm throwing out the old hoses--they're in bad shape, and the sprayers are shot to hell. So I still have to get a new sprayer, but other than that things hose-like are ok. Bought groceries, including a lovely slab of sockeye salmon for dinner tonight. Shelled peas, also for dinner tonight. Planted the garden bed--tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and some things which I think are cinnamon basil, thai basil, and possibly another variety of basil but I'm not sure. The rest of the basil is in one of the Earth Boxes (the other has tomatoes and a pepper plant) with parsley and dill. Planted more radishes. Drew naughty pictures on the front of my trunk to eventually paint.

Took the truck in Friday night, got her back Saturday. $300 and a new water pump later, she is no longer leaking coolant. And they recognize me at Bobby & Steve's, which is slightly disturbing.

I got more embroidery done, which is nifty and keen. I briefly contemplated photography. I ran a load of dishes. I cleaned the girls's ears--well, I cleaned Koshka's ears and Iniki's ears and Autumn backed off the top off the cat tree to get away from the ear wipe (I had it in my hand, I was headed that way, I figured what the heck).

I am contemplating maple-bourbon glazed salmon for dinner. Or something-bourbon glazed salmon. Or I might be convinced to try Scotch. There will be peas, and strawberries with cream, and Israeli couscous, and possibly a salad, and salmon. Mmmmm.

Then after that will probably be embroidery or shoes or something along those lines.
