I spent the weekend doing not much. Friday was dinner at Ketsana, Saturday was a birthday dinner at Khan's, Sunday was fishies and veggies with marinade, and then broiled. Friday we took pictures of ducks. Saturday I ran a couple of errands, one of which was completely unsuccessful and may require some investigation of other options this week. I watered the various garden plants, none of which have been eaten. I picked (and ate) the few raspberries that were ripe. I walked the cat, and the other cat. A slinky was extremely interested in my socks, and possibly also in the cuffs of my jeans. I washed fabric. I turned things blue. I now have three yards of linen in a slightly mottled but otherwise lovely shade of what must be described as country blue. I have silk TW warp in a very dark blue. I have roving in a very uneven and light blue (because I failed to wash it first), grey roving in a slightly darker blue, a sample skein in a medium dark blue, and a swatch of wool in two different shades just to show the difference. And most of the blue on me has faded or worn off. Sunday, pastries and bagels were acquired, and I did some more tablet weaving. And some more embroidery.
We started making plans for the next England trip. Does anybody know what happened to my copy of The English Parish Church?
I had my eye exam yesterday, today I call to schedule an appointment for LASIK. Wheee!
