Wheeee!

I have boots. I am tall. More importantly, I can run in them. I am guessing that had I stuck with karate I would be able to do katas in them. Which would be neat.

One of the pairs of boots that I ordered was listed as "dark wine". In the catalog, they are a dark claret color. The color that the boots actually are, is red. Slightly darker than fuck-me red, but not much. The only way these could be "dark wine" is if the wine were White Zinfandel.

They are still cool, but will require a bit of figuring and possibly some accessories before they will coordinate with stuff I already have. But that's ok. If I can find a red belt they will go well with the black mini-dress, for instance.

I have registered for Capricon. Yay!

Weekend recap: Quiet NYE watching movie and drinking wine. NYD, somewhat louder watching LOTR and drinking scotch. I am fairly sure that I have consumed more alcohol in the past three days than I usually do in six months. Not that this is a *bad* thing, but it is amusing. Also I am pretty sure that I am allergic to something in beer, but being limited to wine and whiskey/whisky isn't a bad thing. Aw shucks darn golly gee-whiz ratso.

And no, I did not put my hair into pigtails today.
