Gardening thoughts.
Apr. 7th, 2005 02:31 pmSo I'm ordering seeds. A little late, but it worked out ok last year.
Anybody got any thoughts on which cucumber I should get the seeds of? I am totally unable to come to a decision here--I thought I'd wanted lemon cucumbers, but there are so many choices!
Other potential vegetables:
Long beans. I'm leaning towards the Royalty Purple Pod, myself.
Carrots.
Lettuces.
Hot peppers. The Black Hungarian and the purple jalapeno are tempting.
Not sure about eggplant.
And then there are the tomatoes, which are listed by color:
Red.
Orange.
Yellow.
Green.
Purple.
Pink.
Striped.
White.
I like the idea of cherry tomatoes and/or bush types, because I really don't have the room for big vines. The Black Cherry variety is tempting.
Herbs are not a problem--I'm mostly going to go with basils, parsley, and whatever survived the winter in the raised bed.
