On women's fashion...
Nov. 4th, 2005 09:29 amSigh.
I hate shopping for clothes. Hate hate hate. Just so we're on the same page here.
So Kohl's had a sale. I would rather not shop there (in point of fact, I'd rather not have to shop at all, but sometimes one must bow to the inevitable), but they sell my jeans. [Lee Relaxed Fit] And true to my karma*, they were almost completely out of size 12 M (because apparently women's legs are only allowed to be one of three lengths, and no, mine are not industry-compliant). I found 1 pair in black, one pair in ringspun denim, whatever that is, and one pair of what they're calling lean. In boot cut. Stretch black denim. I figured what the hell, I can always return them if I don't like the fit.
*Someone somewhere has it out for me--when I find an article of clothing I like, whatever size I happen to wear will be sold out. Doesn't matter what size it is, that size in the colors I like will be gone. And people wonder why I prefer shopping online.
So anyway, the stretch pair isn't half-bad. Not perfect, and the waist sits a bit lower than I ordinarily like, but they're not bad. They are, however, never to be worn with footwear which is not boots, because they are, as usual, too short, and overshort boot cut just looks wrong.
The ringspun pair is...different. I am suspecting they were labeled wrong, because they do not have a tapered leg like they're supposed to. But, I really don't care. I have four pair of jeans that actually fit me and are size 12, and I am, if not actually happy, at least content.
