One of my former coworkers was working on a project that required a certain amount of uninterrupted concentration time. However, her cube was next to a network printer (where people are passing by all the time and then talking to her), so she bought a silk-screened banner off Ebay and put a spring-loaded curtain rod through it so she could close off the entrance to her cube. Despite her having a clear corner to see in/out, management informed her not to use it because it seemed like she was closing herself off too much. Sigh.
She gave it to me when they terminated her - but I can't use it as a door because I need a longer rod for the opening to my cube. I'm hoping to get an enclosed space of ANY sort when we finally get into the new space (I've volunteered to move into the network room in the meantime as we run out of room...)
