Yet Another WW Recap:

I had a wonderful weekend. Which, considering I was hoping for "tolerable", and combined with my general inability to deal with weather extremes, is pretty impressive.
I continue to be very fond of my tent. It wasn't pitched quite right--it has to go up again and we need to tweak things until everything actually fits properly, but the shims on the uprights were a resounding success. I need a 5 lb hammer, though, because in ground that hard the rubber mallet was useless. If I decide I am going to be camping again, I will need a new bed. Once upon a time I was going to build a Gokstadt bed, and then I stopped camping. The old bed is showing its age and wear.
Both classes went really well, even though I managed to forget the handouts for the textiles class on the living room couch because they weren't on my list.
Baronial showcase went well, mustard overload and Vlad's attempts to consume all of it to prevent anybody else from having to "suffer" notwithstanding--but mine were historically documentable and tasty, so nyeh. :-) The leftover mustard went home with Vlad and Petranella.
I love my truck.
The wool stuffing in my shoes continues to be a phenomenal idea.
Fealty ceremony went off really well even with a lack of communication in various places. I have two more projects now. *g*
Not enough sleep happened, but that's really rather usual for me at a camping event.
I did not consume enough liquid, also usual for me at an event.
I saw a lot of some people, not enough of others, nothing at all of other others.
Shopping was 2/3 successful--I have a parasol for wedding-y things, and I have a nifty turned wood bowl that needs to have a soak in mineral oil. I do not have a new Thor's hammer, though, because I could not find one I liked that was a) small enough, and b) plausible. I cannot find the one I bought lo these many years ago, although it occurs to me that it might be in my SCA jewelry box. I hope. [I want to make something similar to the Desborough necklace, but with the hammer instead of a cross.]
I need to spend more time with TR. Not sure *when*, though.
Bread with stuff in it was a wonderful idea. As usual, I made too much, (or didn't eat enough) and leftovers got handed 'round various of my households.
I love my truck.
Linen continues to be A Good Thing.
A purple iridescent snakeskin corset is not garb. *sighs*
I remain impressed by my precision driving skills and general truck-fu. Four inches of clearance and deep sand. No, really.
I retain my title of Packing Goddess, even though in this case there was enough empty space to fit an entire other human's worth of stuff and it would still have rattled.
I think I may be coming out of the shadow I've been in for the last n years (where "n" is a number larger than three but not much larger than four). I have now had three really good events in a row and did not need to have a tent fall on me at 3 am to achieve any of them.
Did I mention that I love my truck?
