pixel39Years and years without ever being in a wedding (because I was too poor to afford the dress for Clayre's), and now I'm in two in almost the same month. In the same three weeks, anyway. Wow, indeed.
I know I shouldn't buy fruit out of season, and instead buy local produce when it shows up, but a) I live in a state where pretty much the only fruit that reliably grows is apples, and b) the cherries looked really good. So I bought them. And indeed, they are good. And because they are fresh Bing cherries, I am not tying cherry stems into knots without benefit of hands, that's for maraschino cherries, and I do not eat those.
It's one of the few things I miss about Ithaca, having all that lovely seasonal fruit at the farmer's market.
