On the plus side, A in Forensic Science, A in Windows XP. I am allowing myself five minutes of gloating before I start stressing about this term.

Class starts tomorrow. Statistics. Whee. I have a shiny new calculator. Can you tell I'm excited about this?

At least it's at Midway, where I don't have to pay for parking.

Wednesday is the OS class--linux and solaris this term. Hopefully it's improved since last semester--we heard nothing good from the people in the Windows class (262) who were also in 264.

Computer Security is an independent study. I'd mused aloud that dropping the ethics class and the criminal procedure class probably meant no papers this term. I should know better than to say this sort of thing where the gods can hear me. Ran into one of the other ICS students while acquiring books, he took the class last semester and said there's a lot of writing in it. I printed out the syllabus and intro ppt lecture and all the other related papery things. Yep. The magic phrase "term paper" appears more than once. I am thrilled beyond belief. No, really.

I detest term papers. With a passion.

Whne I did independent study classes at Metro, we got 20 weeks to finish them instead of 15. (Did my entire Intro to Ethics class in three weeks.) That may help you a tiny bit (but if you're planning on graduating this spring, you have to finish it by the end of the term.)

I was hoping to graduate next spring, but if I'm stuck on this 2/term thing it will take longer.

I think this class finishes at the end of May, which isn't quite 20 weeks.

OK, I finally have to ask, Pixel - what are you in school for? It might be me, but you seem to have been in school longer than I was for my Masters, and by your postings I'm still unsure of exactly what you're getting and why (and how long you plan on it taking).

Just curious.

Can you tell I agree with your feelings on term papers? :)

I'm the researcher, Edwin is the writer. I'm really good at finding information, lousy at doing anything with it.
