n-e way, the faublous costuming sin I noted this year was not Loincloth Man with Bannana, but people belting entire clothing-weight leather hides around themselves. I could only think, "Really? What fucking medieval period is that supposed to be?"
I think it's time for the Pennsic Winceable Garb scale. Oy vey.
On the other hand, there was a greater number of people who were at least reasonably costumed, although I don't know if the fact that attendance at the war overall was down made them more noticable, or if there is really a quiet improvement in certain sections of the population.
