You know you're officially a Minnesotan when 65F is shorts weather. Incidentally, Intellicast sez it's 76F at the moment.
I spent the last hour or so picking currants. And the half hour before that picking raspberries. There are lots. And not all the currants are ripe yet, either. There's about a third again of what I picked that still aren't red enough. And there are a zillion raspberries. There are more gold than red, which suggests that I failed in my attempts to keep the red ones well-watered this summer. Ah, well. I may offer them to the wicked stepdaughter and the Sibling. The plants, not the berries.
Shopping last night was much fun, and muchly silly. And there are now curtains in the bathroom that aren't peach. Yay for me!
My LASIK patient package arrived, as did my fabric. Yes, I ordered more fabric. It was on sale, it was wool, it was twill, it was mentioned favorably by Robin Netherton. How could I resist? So now I have some lovely light blue and some dark red--I'd call it scarlet--and what I think is three yards of gold that will be additionally dyed with indigo to make it green. That's for the boy.
I went to the farmer's market this morning and acquired rhubarb. And buffalo burgers, and buffalo hot dogs (because calling them buffalo weiners is just wrong), and buffalo bratwursts. And a muffin for the WS. And strawberries. And basil.
And there's a striped kitten in her basket. It's very cute. The house is full of sleeping kitties, two of whom appear to be afraid of the ferret. And that's just darned funny.
Must go shopping--again. *sigh* If only Whole Foods weren't so darned far away. Rahrg.
