pixel39I had class last night. I forgot about this Wednesday night. So I was not able to deliver niftyness after I get home. Looks like it will have to wait until Sunday. Feh.
I have to cut out gores and sleeves, so I know if I have enough fabric to make a neckline facing or not. I suspect that I may not, unless I patch bits together. But the side gores are sewn to one side. I can't find the yellow smock project, though, which is a slight setback. OTOH, I found a half-completed smock that I'd thrown aside in frustration at some point (because some insanity had me doing French seams, and I was sick of sewing the same seams over and over again, I think). Although not on the new pattern, it a) is linen, even though it is pink, and b) will keep the wool from making me itch. I thought briefly about making a silk one, but since there's a layer of fairly heavy taffeta/satin/evil-possessed-hell-fabric going over the wool already, a silk smock might be a trifle too warm. So I'll save that for later.
