Alarm goes off. I turn it off, blear at clock for a while. Get up, cursing the entire concept of "morning" (but quietly, so as not to wake the Mikey). Shower. Dress. Wander into the kitchen to pack lunch. And then I look at the clock, and it can't possibly be right--it says 6am. Weird. So does the one in the living room. So does my cell phone. I wander back into the bedroom. Mikey's clock (which is across the room and thus usually out of focus distance) says 6. MY clock says 7. Why is my clock an hour fast? When did my clock become an hour fast?

Grrrrrr.

Damn clocks

My old clock radio was designed such that it was very easy to hit the "advance one hour" button when trying to hit snooze or something. Maybe you hit it in the night or when you went to set the alarm.

My new clock radio is designed such that it is very easy to change the radio station to static. I hate that, but it's cooler than my old one none the less.

It got yanked off the nightstand last night--the only thing I can think of is that I accidentally set it forward an hour while putting it back. I tend to not look at the clock once I turn out the light, so it's entirely possible.
