So Koshka has a vet appointment tomorrow evening, because she is peeing wrongly in little sniblets and it is the wrong color. Otherwise she's acting like nothing is wrong, although I haven't seen her drink anything in the last couple of days. I hope she's ok.
Managed a bike ride yesterday, and discovered two things: 1, my rear tire was mushy, which didn't help my riding any, and 2, my seat needed to be moved up because I wasn't getting a full extension on my leg on the downstroke. That does explain why it felt so hard to ride, so quickly. Riding back after I adjusted the seat was a lot easier, even accounting for me being tired. We'll have to find out later how much effect the tire inflation had, since that didn't happen until we got back.
My rosa alba is flowering! Yay! And there are raspberries galore, both yellow and red. I shall have to make a tart or something.
Tonight, if all goes well, I will start playing with the elderberries. I am going to soak the frozen ones in vinegar for days, and I am going to let the current gallon of dye liquid evaporate to concentrate it before I add vinegar, then I will try dyeing fiber.
Also the elderberries are flowering. I may have to have fritters Thursday night, when there is the most chance of both boys getting to eat them.
The silk is still pink. I understand that it is not lightfast, but because it's all cold water it's easy enough to re-dye. Hee hee.
