I'd bought marinated artichoke hearts a while back for in salads. I had some in my salad today. They're nothing to write home about, certainly. Oh, well. Yet another product I don't have to worry about buying at the grocery store.
Took D to see ROTK yesterday. I'm still not happy with a few of the decisions that were made--Denethor is supposed to be older. Older older. So is Theoden, for that matter. And Theoden gets all of Eomer's good lines. And I'm pretty sure there were more eagles. But other than that it was still nifty.
Friday, as
belmikey has already mentioned, we visited Beast Buy and spent our gift cards. I bought lots of Simon & Garfunkel and some Johnny Cash. I had a smaller gift card, because I also got a gift card to Menards. And we went to PetSmart and bought a cat tree. The plaid cat seems to like it rather a lot--she took to it immediately, which suggests that she's met them before. The other two will scratch on it but don't seem to be interested in anything else. I'm trying to remember to give the girls treats while they're on the tree, so that they won't ignore it. And we bought a cat teaser--it's a plastic rod with a tuft of feathers on the end. Iniki will sort of play with it but she's still lame. Koshka loves it, and Autumn loves it, although she only uses one paw at a time. I had to throw out the catnip mousie because Koskha disemboweled it. There was mousie fluff all over the living room.
