Well. There was an event, which I saw a little of. I threw axes--not very well, but I did throw them. That was pretty much what I saw of the event, that and Renata, who was in town for a wedding. Did a certain amount of sewing and sitting in the shade outside the kitchen. Discovered I'd put the one side of the smock on backwards (I am become resigned to the inevitability of sewing something on backwards every time I sew something), ripped it off, sewed it back on the right way, and then Katriona pointed out that the second gore on that side was now backwards. So I said fuck it, and that bit will be backwards. *sighs* And I perpetrated a minor evil, for which there will be ransom demands when I come up with them. Heh.

Feast went really well (even with no decapitation of bunnies). Nobody killed anybody (although there were offers), none of my servers choked on their dinner, nobody dropped anything between kitchen and feast hall--two separate buildings about 60 feet apart. Very period, but the baronial pitchers are heavy and glass and I was a teense nervous about it. My truck is full of serving stuff and stuff that needs to be laundered--which will happen tomorrow, because today was a day for sewing sod flaps onto tent doors (it needs two people to wrestle the canvas into place, and E was free today).

I have the traditional bodice sunburn, because I sort-of didn't put sunblock on that part and should have. Yes, I was wearing a bodice. For anybody who didn't see me who would remember it, it was the green leather one (because the blue one that WSD lent me became too big rather rapidly). I figured if I was running servers, I should do the serving wench outfit. I'm not sure if there are any pictures, though Gudrun may have gotten one or two.

And Ragnar is very tall. And strong. Eep!

I'm thinking of setting it up on a date with my tea mug. I think they'd get along splendidly.

That could work, I know it was getting lonely now that the other mug committed suicide.

See, I'm a *nice* person.

Not evil at all. The very soul of courtesy. Generous to a fault. Shield of the weak and all that.

Well...given that this date will have happened as a result of mugnapping as opposed to the tea mug asking the herald mug out, I see some flaws with your comments, but thats okay.

I have only its best interests in mind. And you abandoned it on the table all by its poor little lonesome. So nyeh. :-P

I did not abandon it. I specifically left it there, so that TEs would know that I was around there, and would be back. I delayed court for a bit, looking around for it too, because I knew exactly where I left it, and didn't believe it could have walked off.

Fortunately, I figured it was very distinctive and would turn up.

Then I heard about the mugnapping.

*Rescue*. Not mugnapping. Rescue.

It was perfectly safe. It was a little lonely for companionship, and while I thank you for setting it up with your tea mug, it was perfectly safe and doing a job.

Mugnapping.
