This is what I meant when I said I was blue today. It's kind of a weird shot, but you get the idea.

E says it's the anime chick transformation thing. I have the high heels, the blue hair, and the motorcycle, and now I need the tight leather pants and BFG.

"Tight Leather Pants".

Have you NO mercy?

She has none. (That's why we love her.)

That's what E said I need. I am merely relaying his statement.

Hmmmm. "sweetness and innocence and light, pure as the driven snow and harmless as the new-borned lamb" Nope. No mercy. ;-)

Disturbingly hot.

Against black velvet - words, they go bye-bye now.

From: [identity profile] pixel39.livejournal.com
Why disturbingly? One wonders.

"Disturbingly".

1. Was at work. Not the place for "hot" response.

2. I don't tend to be attracted to hair of "rainbow" colors, as a rule. Was anyway.

3. Is cute.

Since, to my recollection, I have never been described as "disturbingly hot" before, I really had no idea.

That, my dear, is *so* not a problem...

*grins*

Clearly I need to arrange a photo for you that involves the black velvet bodysuit.

Slowly, and repetitively.

In Larry Niven's Ringworld books, and in that entire future history, he introduces a number of interesting races and characters. One of the races is a warrior race, the Kzin - a felinoid race with a generally aggressive personality, prone to violence.

Kzinti males are large, fanged, clawed and stronger than most humans. The race had tangled with the Humans in the past, and were decisively defeated. The most aggressive male warriors of their race were exterminated almost completely, and the race has had to rebuild itself - and in order to be a viable part of the Universe, had to learn to quell the tendency to fight at the drop of a hat.

Enter a Human, Louis Wu, who finds himself in a peculiar social position of having to challenge a Kzin warrior - and, one of the Kzinti's companions is in the awkward position of having to apologize for his companion, a decidedly un-Kzinti thing to do. But his role in their society is specifically to mediate, rather than have the Kzinti race promote greater global violence over time, and perhaps be wiped out for good.

After the situation is defused, the challenged Kzin, by the name "Speaker To Animals", says to Louis Wu: "Louis Wu, I found your challenge verbose. In challenging a kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap."

I find myself recalling that phrase. "You scream, and you leap." Dunno why....

Your hair looks great, it looks like it really holds the color well. I'm so envious of you folks with liberal dress codes at work so you can color your hair funky shades!

Oh, and the parts that are more emphatically blue are the bits that got bleached, way back last March, when I first did it purple. I'd love to do it properly--re-do the highlights and the blue so it would be variegated and thus more interesting, but on Friday the stylist confirmed for me that if I inflicted any more chemicals on the bleached bits they'd probably just break off completely. So to do it really properly, I would need to get it professionally highlighted. It *might* be an option. G posted about her new salon and they advertise colors on their website so I might visit them for a consultation.

Cute...the second blue hair I've seen in almost as many days (Pam's cousin on Sunday had it too, though much less of it and with electric blue eye shadow. Interesting distraction from Aunt Ruby lying in state across the room.) But maybe I missed a memo, what's with the glasses?

I've had glasses for about a year now. I wear them for night driving mostly.
