Ouch. Iniki startled me this morning, and when I jumped I sproinged my neck. Again. Sigh. 800mg of ibuprofen at the moment, so I'm not screaming in pain every time I move my head. The brat.
Not a whole lot this weekend. Went to the farmer's market, because I was up (the clock, after two days, is two hours ahead, and my brain believed it). I bought vegetables. Lots of vegetables, some of which are technically fruits. Little baby zucchinis, little green Oriental eggplants, long skinny Japanese eggplants, pattypan squash, beets, rhubarb, leeks, onions, green peppers, little baby Yellow Finn potatoes. I did not buy corn. Nor did I buy tomatoes or cucumbers--although I would love to do pickles I do have to admit that I have a lot of pickles in the basement that haven't been consumed. I could do pasta sauce, I suppose, and Sue mentioned watermelon pickles. I should use my canner, since I went to the trouble of buying the thing in the first place.
David and I toyed (again) with the idea of doing sauerkraut, but it would have to be at his place, probably on the back porch, since I'm going to have construction happening in my basement (one hopes) fairly soon. I could probably get a useful size of plastic bin at the homebrew supply place over on Lyndale. I have to go over there anyway and pick up corks for the water jug and costrel anyway.
Petted the cats a lot. Did a load of laundry. Ran a load of dishes. Rearranged my icing tips. Lounged. Read. Played with cameras. We made stuffed cabbage rolls on Sunday. Saturday I made something like a ragout and something like a pasta sauce--zucchini, onions, garlic, portobello mushrooms, green beans, eggplant, canned tomatoes, a pound of frozen hamburger. Really good. I am going to have to trade some of it for some of the cabbage roll leftovers else I will become sick of it in short order.

Might I suggest

Just a wet washcloth in the microwave for a smidge would really work wonders...
