Yay! There is snow! That heavy wet stuff that sticks to everything, making everything look Ansel Adams-esque. It would look more -esque, if it weren't also completely overcast, which means it hurts to look outside without sunglasses on. I am seriously contemplating ordering that plow today.

Had a lovely early dinner with Envoy on Saturday, but he left out his contribution of the violet liqueur on the raspberries. Really sublime. I am inspired to play with liqueur making (not, mind you, that I haven't been before) and the finding of the book of recipes that I bought a while back. Also, now that I have seen the first fifteen minutes of Spirited Away, I suppose I should see the rest of it. :-)

Actually, I mentioned in my LJ a while back reading an old Mr. Boston's guide to cocktails. As I was looking for an older version on E-bay (which I did win, yaay!), I also bid on another Mr. Boston book which was specifically about cooking with cordials! And I got that one for a song, $3, including shipping. It should hopefully be here in a couple of weeks. We'll have to get together to take a look through it.
