I've not been doing so well on the diet thing, at least not compared to Mikey. Partially because I am responsible for my own breakfasts, whereas Mikey has his morning repast at a neighborhood cafe, and partly because I have no willpower. And because I was running horribly late on Saturday and thus didn't have time to cook protein, so I just gave up in general on the whole no-carbs thing for the day. But I've been behaving much more appropriately, and I'm down 15 lb from where I was before. I don't know where I was exactly when I actually started the diet, but I weighed myself before the holidays and I'm definitely down 15 lb from there.
So that's a good thing.
Other random observations:
Cats are whiny.
Broken washing machines *suck*. Although we're not entirely sure if this one is broken or not. News at 11.
Some people need to get over themselves.
Other people need to pet kitties more.
I need a secondary persona so that I can have nifty jewellery, or cleavage, or both. The likelihood of this happening, though, is fairly slim--I don't have enough time to do kit for my primary persona. Sigh.

Date: 2004-01-14 12:46 pm (UTC)2 - I told Mikey at Twelfth Night, and I'll tell you too. You're all welcome to come over and use our washer and dryer if you need to. Unless we're too far away . . . :)

Date: 2004-01-15 05:42 pm (UTC)No constructive comments, really. I've started working out, since I'm dubious about the efficacy of limiting one's caloric intake. I also like very much to eat, and also like to exercise, so that works okay. I don't actually expect to lose weight; because of my active childhood and sturdy frame, my body's response to working out is to immediately begin giving me Mr Universe style muscle, but I'll just be happy if things stop jiggling.
I am also still (always...) recovering from an eating disorder, and I don't need any encouragement whatsoever to start doing weird and self-destructive things with my eating habits.
Didn't mean to make this about me, sorry. :) Cleavage sounds good--you could have a Bad Gypsy Persona, which would take no time whatsoever. :P

Date: 2004-01-16 08:45 am (UTC)I was borderline anorexic for about six months, and then when I'd lost enough weight I stopped. So I can probably handle dieting. If I were a student, I'd even have enough time to work out. *sigh*
