but the pockets of stupidity were particularly dense this morning. Ten minutes to go four blocks. On city streets. Where there is ordinarily little to no traffic.
Was it around the Portland Ave area? Because it took me 15+ just to get on the damn crosstown, because there was a police stop right by the ramp at the Portland/62 bridge. So of course people had to stop to see what's going on. Portland was backed up all the way to 73rd Street. Idiots.
Yep, it was Portland. The weird part was that it took forever *after* passing the cop. And the westbound lane was absolutely *stopped*. The crosstown was sucky all the way to 169, and my co-workers who come up 169 report that it was backed up to hell and gone, too.
Today was just a bad traffic karma day, apparently.
