I'd avoid giving it to them for a while, just to avoid the whole swarming-cats-when-opening-cans thing until they're a little older. But that's just me.
gravity feed MOSTLY gets rid of this trend.... My cats only swarm when we've not noticed the bins need filling.... other than that they eat at will and are pretty healthy and happy and don't offer us affection in exchange for food *lol*
We free-feed, and I have never noticed any of the cats *not* being interested in the tuna water, including the loaner cat. They might not consume a whole lot of it, but there's always interest. And meowing.

Wolfie eats raisins, licks lids of fruit ices and likes cheese
I recently discovered that Tiger LOVES ham
Jazzmine likes tuna and milk and tries to knock over any unattended glass that looks like it might have liquid in it...
I used to have a cat that would eat raw liver and chicken... and my other cat that died last summer loved all things green, especially broccoli....
I think meowing comes with the territory as do sniffing and pawing at things and testing gravity to make sure it still works....

Individual cats have also wanted cheese, lettuce, brewer's yeast tablets, butter, and bread. oh - and refried beans.

I still do not understand Grendel's "thing" for spaghetti sauce, however. Even fra diavolo spaghetti sauce.
