Ok, I enjoy classical music just as much as the next person (more, if the next person happens to like rap), but what the hell was that?

Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up:

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik plus Scotland the Brave plus Auld Lang Syne. Alternating every 8 or 16 bars or so.

It hurt my head.

[Edited to reflect the nifty subject I just thought of.]

Is that Charles Ives

No, it wasn't Charles Ives. It was some 'composer' whose name I didn't recognize--basically the first 8 or 16 bars of EKN, then the first 8 or so of StB, then back to EKN, then to ALS, then EKN, etc., etc., etc. It wasn't the mind-fuck that PDQ Bach can be, it didn't require you to think, it was just wrong.

OMG...
That is hideous.

I mean, I would have to put on the Threnody for the vitims of Hiroshima to get it out of my head.

*twitch, twitch*

that's just...*shudder* wrong. and he did this on purpose?? and wasn't trying to be funny? (PDQ Bach is at least deliberately clever, intellgent and fun).

I don't know if he was trying to be funny or not, the morning guy didn't say. The title was in German, and he said "you'll have to read the translation on the CD when you buy it". So possibly. But it wasn't terribly clever OR intelligent, and not really fun, either.
