people who pinstripe or low-ride or otherwise trick out mini-vans (or any other vehicle, for that matter) in an attempt to make them look "cool" will be publicly flogged and required to drive bright orange Ladas.

I love you, my Empress. I am not worthy to kiss the hem of your gown. (I so agree--and I also hate it when they take full-size pickups and cut them down so they have about .5 inches of clearance, which is so totally not the point of owning a pickup.)

Russian car. They'll start in sub-zero temps, but they're cheap and they're ugly, and IIRC they're not very fast either.

On that fateful day, far in the future, when I finally get my custom van, based on a Chevy Express van, I shall be tricking it out.

I currently drive a bright aqua mini-van. I like having something that sticks out. The Chevy Express vans only come in boring colors. My solution will be to add custom pinstripes made from my rainbow knotwork border (which can be seen on my web page), and to have the plastic detailing bits painted in the nifty color-changing paint, instead of matching the (probably gold) van.

I am to be flogged. Without mercy. ;)

If the van came in bright orange, I'd consider it. ;)

OK. Mini-van trick-outs are absolutely wrong. There is no way to make a super-sized, engine powered baby carriage cool. Other cars, it depends on the car, and the trick-out and artist. I do, however, agree with you about the truck thing, I view trucks as work vehicles, and any dufus who makes them into anything but should be beaten with a codfish and then made to drive an old Mini Cooper, diesel!
